“We think education is very important. My father and mother both spent a large part of thier lives in education and I taught for four years,” Mr. Bonde said. “We feel it’s important to give back, and what could be more important than learning?”
The recepient must be a full-time junior, senior or graduate student with a 3.0 GPA or better, pursuing a degree in Education. The recepient must be a citizen of the United States. The initial selection of the applicants will be made by the College of Education Scholarship Comittee. The final choice is to be made by the James R. Bonde Family from three candidates reccomended to them by the College of Education Scholarship Committee. The amount of the scholarship will be determined by the interest earned. One scholarship per semesterof $1000.00 ($2000.00 for the year) shall be awarded. A second scholarship may be awarded, providing the interest income is sufficent to preserve the corpus and adjust it for the annual cost of living increase.
